AI Action App Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 12, 2026 · 日本語版はこちら
The short version: your screenshots, photos, receipts and the text in them never leave your iPhone. Text recognition and understanding run on your iPhone. Optional crash reports and analytics are off by default; nothing is sent before you turn them on, and they never include your content. If you choose the optional model download, the app fetches model files from Hugging Face; that download does not include your content.
Who we are
AI Action App is developed by Sameeran Sarangi (Privaku), Tokyo, Japan (“we”, “us”). This policy applies to the AI Action App by Privaku for iPhone, version 1.0, including its share extension. For AI Action App, this policy takes precedence over the general Privaku privacy policy.
On-device processing
When you import a screenshot or photo, share one to the app, or scan with the camera, the app reads it on your iPhone. Text is recognised with Apple’s Vision framework, and an on-device AI model interprets the content (for example dates, amounts, currencies and places). Extraction does not use a cloud service. After any optional model download, recognition and extraction work offline.
Your screenshots, photos, receipts, camera scans, the text found in them, the details the app extracts, your saved history and the PDFs you create stay on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or to any third party.
Optional model download
Optional model download: if you choose to download the Privaku on-device model, the app fetches the model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Hugging Face receives your IP address and standard request data, as with any download. No screenshots or other content are sent, and all extraction runs on your iPhone.
Data stored on your iPhone
The app keeps a local history of your results so you can search them later. You can delete individual items or clear all history in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data. PDFs you save to the Files app stay there until you delete them.
Optional crash reports and analytics (off by default)
The app includes Google Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config. They are off by default. While they are off, the app does not start Firebase and makes no Firebase network requests.
If you choose to turn on crash reports and analytics in the app’s Settings, the following is sent to Google Firebase to help us fix crashes and improve the app:
- Crash data: crash logs and stack traces
- Performance data: for example app launch and processing times
- Product interaction: which features and screens are used, for example that an action was suggested or accepted
- Device and app information: device model, iOS version, app version, language and region settings
- Device ID: a Firebase app instance ID, a random identifier for this installation of the app (not your Apple ID, phone number or advertising identifier)
Remote Config is used only after you opt in, to adjust app settings (such as which on-device extraction method is used). Until then, the app uses settings built into the app.
This data never includes your screenshots, photos, receipts, scans or their content, the text recognised in them, the details extracted from them, or your PDFs. It is not linked to your identity: the app has no account or sign-in, and we do not combine this data with other data about you.
No tracking, no ads
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites
- We do not sell or share your data
- No account or sign-in
Turning it off and deleting data
You can turn crash reports and analytics off at any time in the app’s Settings. When you do, the app stops sending new data, and it deletes its Firebase app instance ID from your iPhone, so it is not reused if you opt in again. A report that was already being sent at that moment may still complete. To ask us to delete data already sent to Firebase, email support@privaku.com. Data held by Firebase is otherwise kept for a limited period under Firebase’s retention settings and then deleted. Google processes this data as our service provider; see Firebase privacy information.
Permissions
The app only asks for access when you use a feature that needs it, and you can review or change each permission in iOS Settings at any time:
- Photos: to import screenshots and photos you choose
- Camera: for live scans and scanning documents to PDF
- Calendars and Reminders: to add an event or reminder after you confirm it
Nothing is added to your calendar or reminders without your confirmation.
Children
AI Action App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Optional analytics stay off unless turned on in the app.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what data leaves your iPhone, we will update this policy, and its effective date, before that version ships. Any cloud feature would be optional, opt-in and clearly explained.
