To remove the location from a photo, save a copy without its EXIF and GPS data. This tool first shows what metadata the photo has, lets you choose what to remove, and gives you the clean copy, all in your browser.
How to do it
- Drop a photo or tap to choose one.
- See the metadata it found and tick what to remove, or keep Remove all.
- Download the clean copy and share that one.
Why this runs on your device
Most free online tools upload your file to a server before they process it. Privaku tools do the work inside this browser tab with open-source code, so the file is never sent to us or anyone else. That matters for photos of your home, family, ID documents and bills.

Questions
What does this remove?
GPS location, camera model, serial number, date, editing software, author and XMP or IPTC data. The picture itself stays the same, rotated the right way.
Which formats work?
JPEG, PNG and WebP. HEIC is not supported yet; share it as JPEG from your phone first.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It is processed by your browser on your device. You can turn on airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
How can I check nothing is uploaded?
Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and run the tool. No request carries your file.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. Privaku is a small studio in Tokyo that makes free, private apps, and these tools show how they work.
